Though it can be overwhelming at first once you get the hang of it making your own webset can be fun and easy. Erin has some full screen shots HERE that you may find handy to use along with this tutorial.
Once Auto-Webset I has loaded, the first thing you need to do is enter the credit information.
The first part of this is Your Nick, for me I would put in The Tile Lady. Below that is where you put where you want people to go when they click on your nick. In this area I put the url of my public albums at fotki but you could put in the url for your group for example. You do not have to have anything there if you do not want to link somewhere. The next area is for the name of the Artist who created the tiles. All the tiles for AW I are from the public domain so leave this as it is. Below that is the area for the Artist link. Since these are public domain tiles, leave this area as it is also. It will link people to a page that will tell them about the public domain.
The next step is to enter the width in pixels of the layer you are working on...
(the layer table)
Next Select your tile or color
(the tiles you have to chose from)
You will want to start with the innermost layer #1 and work your way out.
For this webset I wanted a white base layer so I first clicked the edit option for the first layer then on the tile table. I then clicked on the solid white tile. Even though this first layer is in the middle you will still need a size entered. This is the distance from layer 2 to yor content. All I have ever used is 10 and it has never been a problem for me. You go by these same steps for the second letter and so on choosing first the size, then tile or color for that layer as you go.
If after you have made your choices you decide to change something all you need to do is select the layer you want to change make the change on, enter them and then click the enter button for that layer.
When your webset is looking the way you want it to you then need to chose what type of formatting you need...
You can now highlight and copy the webset over to your own site. if either your browser or the site you are planning on posting your webset in does not support copy-paste, check the display code box see below under the format selector to display the code. It will appear immediately above the webset.
If you have any questions please feel free to ask.
